Shomberg Guest Book
Perhaps just as rewarding as the joy of working and living with this wonderful breed is the pleasure of knowing so many great GSP people. The breed attracts delightful, down-to-earth folks from every walk of life, and when those people get to know each other, the friendships can last a lifetime. We like to think of this web site as another way in which to participate in the larger GSP community. We know we get visitors from all around the U.S. and the world, and enjoy the thought that each visitor shares the joy of knowing this wonderful breed of dogs.

Over the years many people have left wonderful notes on our guest book. Those notes can be read below, but we are no longer accepting any new entries. Alas, our very visible web site attracted a lot of random, unrelated guest book spam, too. So, we'd prefer now to hear from you directly.

Amazing web site & what wonderful pictures to follow your puppies growth! Someday, we will be contacting you about possibly having a Shomberg GSP join our family. Currently have an 11 yr old Brussels Griffon, 8 yr old GSP my husband hunts with & an Ashwood/Laurent Cocker puppy that I am learning to show with the help of Laura Heidrich. Thanks!! Leslie

Congradulations on your new arrivals, you have your hands full. They are beautiful and I look forward to watching them grow. I have watched one of your puppies (Shea) develope into a lovely bitch with Kim Abbott in WA state. To watch them together makes showing dogs look effortless. I'm still reaching to obtain that goal. Best wishes. CJ

I stumbled apon your website as I looked for pictures of GSP puppies. I am a week away from getting a GSP. I've only had one other in my life, but I enjoy them as a pet and hunting partner. This time I am getting a puppy, which I am very excited about. I just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed reading your article about raising pups. I totally agree with you 100%. Even if you use your dog as a hunter, the affection you give them can never be enough. I've seen hunting dogs treated too much like a hunting tool instead of a family member. I've treated my dogs with the love they need and it only enhances their spirit and ability in the field. Thanks for caring! Eric

Hi- Anne Marie and I are sure glad that we stuck with our choice to take on FAITH as our first liver GSP. She is a hand full at times, but well worth the HIGH ENERGY always on the go,that she always presents us with. As of today she is the #5 GSP in the country and still ready to keep climing. We are thrilled with her. See you soon.

After a brief conversation he shared a beautiful championship picture and web site information. My love for our four legged friends is endless and I am proud to call Steve a friend. Only the best of the best are so devoted and after looking at their accomplishments it is obvious that Steve and his wife are the best. I wish them continued success and many many puppy kisses!

Hi Sharon and Steve, Just thought to stop by to let you know that Bebel, Moby and I are spending some time in Rio, Brazil! No one seems to have seen a brown pointer before around here and these guys are very popular now. We go to the beach almost every day and they just love it!!! But time to go back home (DC) is approaching... I'm sure they will always remember their summer in Rio. Cheers, Marcia

This site is wonderful and what a dedication to the breed. We have owned GSP's since we were first married in 1977. We have never shown them , but along with our three children we have always loved them as our pets. We have always found that having a brace was always best for all of us. We would like to foster GSP's, but we are not sure how to go about this. Once again, thanks for this wonderful site gsplover2@optonline.net

My son has a German Shorthair, and she is just like family. I don't have any papers on her, but my son has taught her to ride on his jet ski with him her brown ears flapping in the wind, and she also enjoys riding on the ATVs with him. When we decide to go fishing and we aren't catching fish, she goes over and puts her paw on the trolling motor remote. She is a hoot.

Hi Sharon and Steve! Hope you've had time to shovel out by now. Your web sight is outstanding!! I'm searching for a versatile stud dog to breed to "Chindi's" daughter "Niche." Do you have or know of anyone who has stud(s) with Dual or Field Champions in their pedigree/background? If you are up for Blue/Gray Cluster in April, maybe we can chat more about your requirements, etc.

Hi Sharon and Steve. Just looking over the web site. I went to see the latest pictures of Tierney. What a beautiful girl. You would not believe the looks we get at the hunt tests, from judges and owners alike. She is a hunting fool. What a wonderful web site. You and Matt working together have done a fabulous job. I have known you guys for about 8 years now and you have given me so much joy in letting me get to know this wonderful breed and in providing me with my sweethearts -- Sophie and Tierney. And of course Ayers and Briar both coming from your breeding also. I see every kind of dog imaginable, and I wouldn't take any for my Shorthairs.

Love you guys -- Brenda
