Bred by Sharon & Steve Dattilio (Shomberg GSPs), and P. Williams. Owned and loved by Steve, Sharon, and Patty Crowley. Monroe is the product of the first Marco/Tootsie breeding from 2000.

On Saturday, August 4th at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club All Breed Show and the Nutmeg German Shorthaired Pointer Club Specialty Show held in Greenfield, MA, Monroe took:

Best In Sweepstakes - Mr. George Marquis
Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed - Dr. Steve Keating
Sporting Group 1 - Constance Barton
BEST IN SHOW !!!! - Mrs. James Edward Clark

This was Monroe's second 5 point major!! Expertly handled to all of these wins by Pat Crowley, Shannon Kennels. We aren't certain yet, but we think this "clean sweep" ( GSP Specialty Sweeps to All-Breed BEST IN SHOW) by a 16 month old from the classes, just might be a "first" for our breed!

Sunday August 5th., Monroe finished her championship by winning the Katadhin GSP Specialty show by going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed from the 12-18 month Bitch Class under judge Dana Cline. This was her third five point major! The specialty was held in conjunction with the Cheshire Kennel Club All Breed Show in Keene, NH.

She was expertly handled to these wins by professional handler, and co-owner Pat Crowley of Shannon Kennels. Patty owned and bred Monroe's grandfather, "Ch.Shannon's Hearts Afire", aka, "Keeper."

She then went on to win Sporting Group 2 under Dr.Bernard McGivern. Handled to this win by professional handler, Rick Krieger.
