We are excited to share the news that this weekend .........March 14th. and 15th....two more Monroe/Shain youngsters competed successfully in hunt tests in South Carolina.

CH.Shomberg's Sparks Will Fly JH ( our own "Sparks") earned two more qualifying legs toward his Senior Hunter title and his sister "Mya", CH.Shomberg's One Hot Ticket JH earned her first qualifying leg toward her Senior Hunter title under the expert handling of professional trainer/handler Scott Edwards of Bayville GSPs. Mya is owned and loved by Carl & Kahla Ennis of VA who miss her dearly but also understand that she is having a blast in the field on her "vacation".

We continue to enjoy the calls that come to tell us how well these two youngsters are doing and how much fun they are having in the field. Our sincere appreciation to Scott for his dedication and his professionalism that allow us to know that our dogs are not only well trained but live in a home environment while staying with Scott and his family throughout their training.
No barrels and chains for this trainer/handler who is showing that Shorthairs can be cared for well and enjoy the comforts of a family and home and still do the job they were bred to do.

Thank you Scott !! You are a professional in every sense of the word.

We are thrilled to share the news that.....


was awarded Best of Breed from the classes over a current champion at the show in Boca Raton, FL on February 21st. handled by her owner, Barbara Boka.

Barbara commented that it was very exciting to have the opportunity to show her one year old puppy in the Sporting group ring and she and Martini had great fun.
What an honor !!

Congratulations to Barbara who isn't one to pass up "The Ultimate Martini" and we're so happy for her, Dave and of course the beautiful Martini.

Skye sails through to capture her final 2 Junior Hunter legs under the handling expertise of her owner, Sue Harrison at the GSP Club of North Florida hunt tests on March 7th. and 8th. with very high scores of 9's and 10's and 13 finds on the course.

This youngster cleaned out a birdfield that had been deemed "birdless" by some in previous runs and several braces running before her.
Sue declared that there is little that Skye likes more than entering a field filled with live birds and fresh scent that sends her into a frenzy as she dutifully sweeps every objective in an effort to enjoy every minute of her brace.
We expect that Skye will follow in her sister's and brother's path in being the consumate gun dog with Sue at the helm.
Just another example of one of those "show dogs that can hunt".

We are extremely proud to announce that Beth Cochran's wonderful boy, Devlin, and a Marco son, has achieved his UD title today in Greensboro, NC. How exciting for all of us who love and admire this exceptional team !!!!

Beth writes.............

I am so excited to let you all know that today in Greensboro, in Utility B, Devlin got his UD with a nice score of 194.5 and a 4^th place. I am STILL flying high, even after the rainy drive home and being really tired. It was great to see some of my old training buddies from NC and to have them there when Devlin put it all together.

A beautiful companion puppy is still available from our "Timeless" litter.

We are looking for a very special home for "Mercier" who is not only extremely sweet but also a wonderfully outgoing, happy puppy and very, very affectionate. She will be placed with a family who will value her and offer her a place in their home and their hearts as she so deserves.

Mercier may be seen by going to the link for the latest puppy pictures taken at 6 1/2 weeks of age. Mercier will be 9 weeks old on Monday March 16th. and she is just waiting for the perfect home.

Under the expert handling of professional handler, Lara Spears, Birdie now has 10 points toward her championship and we're very happy for her owners, Jocelyn Greene and Lesly Dossett of TN.
