It's A Girl - Finally!
Monroe presented us with a bouncing baby girl at 4:30 a.m. this morning, Monday, December 12, 2005.
Mother and baby are doing great! Congratulations to " Daddy Shain" and Grandma Sue at Wyndbourne.

November
21, 2005 - A sonogram has indeed indicated that Monroe is pregnant. We are very happy, but somewhat disappointed to report that only one puppy seems to be getting ready for an appearance on or about Dec. 7th.
We will be doing a repeat breeding to Shain on Monroe's next heat cycle which should be sometime in early spring which hopefully will produce a complete litter.
They say that "everything happens (or doesn't) for a reason." Apparently this one little pup has chosen to be born and not have to share the spotlight with any other siblings. We are still very excited to meet this newest little "star" here at Shomberg.
The news of arrival and complete follow-ups will happen as with all new arrivals.
We are waiting to confirm pregnancy by sonogram on or about
November 2nd. Puppies will be due on or about December
7th - 9th, if everything goes as we expect and hope it will.
This
breeding brings together two outstanding bloodlines (Shomberg and Wyndbourne) that have
consistently, over many years of dedicated
breeding,
produced beautiful German Shorthaired Pointers with unsurpassed temperaments and structural conformation.
Shain has consistently proven himself to be an
outstanding sire when bred to bitches from
different bloodlines. He currently has a total
of 23 AKC Champions to his credit, with quite
a few more close to finishing. He has titled
get in hunt tests and agility, and field trial
placings. His hopeful Dual in the making just
took his first points and BOS over a group
winning special his second time in the breed
ring.
All health certifications are complete and only loving and
committed competition homes are being considered for the puppies in this litter.
We feel that the potential for competitive,
companionable puppies from this litter is
outstanding.
Private agreements will assure that every puppy will have wonderful families and the best opportunities for their future in the breed.
